As I drink my medium Winter Blend coffee from Einstein’s, there’s a little voice reminding me of my former eating habits – the ones where I monitored more carefully what I ate, where it came from, how it would affect my mood, energy level, etc. Admittedly, I’ve gotten lazy. So I’ve been thinking a lot about Kris Carr lately. She’s the cancer rebel and enthusiastic author of Crazy Sexy Diet, a book about re-training your body to love and crave lush whole and raw foods, to re-energize (without caffeine) and balance the pH of the body.
In addition to the many incredible recipes and eating advice the book offers, she encourages everyone to make her favorite green juice. It’s a mix of cucumbers, kale, sweet pea sprouts, celery, broccoli, pear or green apple (optional), and ginger. She also recommends trying out romaine, parsley, spinach and dandelion. Yum.
